Deuteronomy 6 Homeschool Co-op

The Deuteronomy 6 Homeschool Co-op (D6) is a family-centered Christian homeschooling support group offered through Willoughby Hills Friends Church. Co-op members seek to pool their talents and resources in a collective effort to broaden the scope of home based education.

It is the expressed desire of the D6 partnership to honor God, exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and expound the principles and precepts of the Bible through the partnership and processes of home educating children.

We have Field Trips as well as Parents' Night Out events scheduled throughout the year.

Classes

Deuteronomy 6 (D6) provides a classroom environment where students can participate in a variety of hands-on activities and classes such as choir, gym/basketball, journalism, photography, science, math, sign language, plays, discussion groups, field trips and music.

Three one-hour classes periods
Thirty-five minutes for lunch (bring a packed lunch, or purchase lunch at the Friendly Grounds Café.

Achievement Night

At the end of each session, students participate in Achievement Night, a celebration of their learning for the session. Students are awarded "Certificates of Completion" for their classes. Students may participate by playing musical instruments, reciting bible verses, performing drama skits, etc . After awards and performances, the evening concludes with fellowship, snacks & drinks.

Parents’ Night Out

The first Thursday of each month from 7-9 PM we meet for prayer and fellowship. For a list of monthly topics please contact us.

Field Trips

Educational field trips are planned throughout the year. Past destinations include the Playhouse Square, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Cleveland Museum of Art, Great Lakes Science Center as well as many other educational destinations.

Registration Form

This form can be used to register for Deuteronomy 6. To complete registration, submit to the church office a one-time, non-refundable $25 registration fee per family, payable to WHFC. Please be sure to write "D6 Registration" on the check.
