Adults
From worship, to service, to fellowship opportunities, we have much to offer! If you are an Empty Nester, with some or all of your children no longer living at home, consider fellowshipping with the Empty Nester group. We also have activities geared towards those 55+ and older, with the 55+ Friends enjoying monthly fellowship opportunities. For our Seniors, we have the "Never Say Old" Sunday School class, Senior Adult Thursday Fellowship and monthly outings.
Fellowship opportunities abound throughout the year for the Adults at WHFC. It is our desire that the adults of Willoughby Hills Friends Church become fulfilled in Christ’s mission within the church body and that His mission out of the church into our community would be realized.
For those who have lost a loved one, considering being part of GriefShare and/or find the thought of the Christmas holidays painful, please consider being part of Surviving the Holidays.
Programs
- EMPTY NESTERS— Designed for married couples who have at least one child out of the household, in college, married or moved out. A themed event is scheduled each month with a goal to just have fun, make new and lasting friends, and to share a meal together.
- THURSDAY SR. ADULT FELLOWSHIP — Structured activities are held weekly. Activities include Bible studies, arts and crafts (such as crochet, quilting, small wood projects, and painting), shuffleboard, games, music, and fellowship. Bring your own lunch.
- DAY + TIME: Thursdays @ 9:30am-2:00pm
- LOCATION: Friends Adult Ministry Room (Room 152)
- SHUFFLEBOARD: 10:00am in the Activity Center
- OUTING: Cruisin 50's Diner
- SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY and FELLOWSHIP — If you desire a closer relationship with God and a deeper understanding of the Bible and how it applies to your life as an adult, then join us for a class tailored for adults.
- DAY + TIME: Sundays @ 9:30am
- LOCATION: Friends Adult Ministry Room (Room 152)
- ADULT FRIENDS BIBLE STUDY — Offered weekly, except during the summer months.
