Dr. Emerson Eggerichs' bestselling book launched a revolution in how couples relate to each other. Despite our best intentions, our spouse often reacts in ways we don't expect, or understand. SCREWTAPE LETTERS

Sonny and Arlene Frankos, Room 226
In this humorous and perceptive exchange between two devils, C. S. Lewis delves into moral questions about good vs. evil, temptation, repentance, and grace. Through this wonderful tale, we will emerge with a better understanding of what it means to live a faithful life.  Be prepared for some lively discussion in the group!

12

FOR MEN ONLY & FOR WOMEN ONLY
Marriage & Family
Nick & Hattie Dodson, Room 258
A straightforward look at the inner lives of the opposite sex.  Men want to be understood, but they’re afraid to “freak out” the women they love by confessing what is happening inside their heads.  Women can be complicated and difficult to understand. These books BY Shaunti Feld unlock the secrets to understanding and loving those of the opposite sex.  Open to couples and singles.

13

PARENTING YOUR TEEN
Marriage & Family
Pastor Jim Davis & Youth Team, Room 280
This session we will discuss Kevin Lehman’s book Have a New Teenager by Friday. Parents may survive the terrible twos and the first years of school all right, but the teenage years bring entirely new and alien creatures. So, parents have a choice: either send that teenager to boarding school and visit him when he reaches normalcy again (in about ten years) or choose to experience the best, most fun years of life--together! The secret is in how the parental cards are played.  All middle and high school parents are welcome to join.

Suzanne Yarborough, Room 222
God called David "a man after his own heart"---but what did he see in this shepherd and king who fell short as often as he stood tall? Max Lucado's study of David's life shows how God triumphs in our circumstances despite our less-than-perfect pasts. So load your slingshot and get ready to conquer---with God's help!

17

X-CELL:  COLLEGE & CAREER
Young Adults
Mike & Lois Ann Suba, Room 229
Join us as we discuss the book, Jesus Among Other Gods, written by apologetics scholar and popular speaker Ravi Zacharias.  He shows how the blueprint for life and death itself is found in a true understanding of Jesus by contrasting the truth of Jesus with founders of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. Hopefully, you will be strengthened and better equipped to share your faith with our post-modern world.

THE BOOK OF JOB
Christian Growth

MARRIAGE THAT WORKS
Marriage & Family
Pastor Walt Scheimann, Room 229
Maintaining a contemporary marriage is no easy task. It requires hard work. To think that a successful marriage -- that is a relationship between two people that is fulfilling, enhancing of one's sense of self-esteem, emotionally gratifying, nurturing, and supportive -- can be achieved by merely living under the same roof without investing effort and time, would be naive thinking. Some individuals believe that marriage should be easy, and if it is not, they think something is wrong.
