SECURITY: Your children are important to us! We use a sign in process for all children from preschool through 4th grade. When the parent signs in their child in the Kid's Kingdom sign in area, they are given a pager for each of their preschoolers. The pager will vibrate if/when their preschooler needs them. Your preschooler will only be released by the teachers to the person who has the pager. |
We require everyone who works in Kid's Kingdom to complete an application prior to working in Children's Ministries. If you would like to be part of the team that serves with children, please fill out this application and drop it off at the church office during the week or in the drop box outside the office on weekends: Application to work in Children's Ministries

The foundation of our Children's Ministries is our Sunday School Program. As the children come each week they learn life lessons from the Word of God. Sunday School is an opportunity to introduce the Savior to children in a real way. As elementary children explore the adventures of the Bible they learn that they can do great and wonderful things with their lives!

Joyful Noise, the Elementary Children's Choir (1st through 5th Grade) meets at 9:00am on Sundays before the 9:30am Sunday School class. At 9:40am, unless their parents choose to pick them up, they are escorted to their Sunday School class just in time to catch the start of activities,

Kid's Church LiveKid's Church Live (KCL) is the place to be for 1st through 4th graders at 11:00am. We use the Big City Studio curriculum and the room is set up as a live TV studio. Big City Studio is a high energy approach to children's church. KCL functions as a movie production studio in an urban setting. It contains a wide range of interactive elements, skits, games, music, and more. Big City Studio at Kid's Church Live propels kids through the Bible while helping them understand how the Old and New Testaments fit together.

5th Graders are commonly called the "tweeners". They no longer fit in with the younger elementary children but they are too young for the 6th through 12th grade youth group. What to do? Make a special place just for them! The 5th graders meet in the Lower Level every Sunday morning at both 9:30am and 11:00am for two different Sunday School classes. 5th Grade JAM. also plans special activities just for these tweeners such as hay rides, service projects, and pizza parties. |
Kids on a Mission (KOM) is an opportunity for kids going into 5th and 6th graders to put their faith in action. The 5th and 6th graders are invited to serve the community through service projects three afternoons the first week of August. Each afternoon they will serve in a different place and get a taste for the ministry opportunities in the community.
This is also the week High Seas Expedition VBS is going on in the mornings so the 5th and 6th graders can take advantage of both programs. Kids on a Mission is separate from High Seas Expedition VBS in that a 5th or 6th grader who does not attend VBS can still register and participate in KOM. To allow this flexibility, VBS and Kids on a Mission have separate registration forms and separate fees. As needed, the KOMs who are also attending VBS may be asked if they would like to be an assistant VBS crew leader. We have eliminated the form to fill out if interested in being an VBS assistant crew leaders; we will use the information on the Kid's on a Mission form.
The kids participating in Kid's on a Mission will pick up their lunch in the Senior Activity Center and eat their lunch in room 227; they will be in the Friendly Grounds Cafe at 4:00 pm for pickup.
Wednesday NightsClasses for walkers through 5th grade are offered on Wednesday nights. Our format changes during the summer to allow the children to enjoy their summer vacation with a focus on playing games outside and using hands on crafts that reinforce the biblical lesson. This summer we will be using Group's Egypt - Joseph's Journey from Prison to Palace a VBS program we have tailored to fit Wednesday Nights.

Note: Pioneer Clubs are offered during the school year. A classes for preschoolers is also offered on Wednesday nights.

Saturday NightsClasses for preschoolers through 4th grade are offered on Saturday nights while the adults are in the service. The Saturday night service is the same message as heard on Sunday morning. Correspondingly, on Saturday evenings, the children will explore the adventures of the Bible and learn that they can do great and wonderful things with their lives!

Upward Basketball offers a break from the norm. The primary focus of Upward is to develop the Winner in EVERY child, not just a few. Children participate in a league that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in all who participate by keeping sportsmanship and competitiveness in proper perspective. Upwards Basketball is offered annually starting in January and running through March for boys and girls. Additionally, Upward Cheerleading is offered. |

Every summer our building transforms into a place kids love to come! Climb aboard on August 2-6, 2010 and be part of High Seas Expedition where the children will learn that God's work is true, powerful and life changing. At High Seas Adventure, kids will keep an eye out for “God in action” in their everyday lives—and they’ll discover how they can be a God Sighting by showing Christ’s love. If your child is entering Kindergarten through 6th grade, then sign them up for this High Seas Expedition.
