Dave, a widower, is working himself to death. Late nights doing paperwork and running on fumes is the norm. Bills are piling by the week, and foreclosure looms on the horizon. Blaming God for his wife's death, he ends his relationship with the church. His son, Steven, has been watching with great concern. Along with his grandpa and best friend Maggie, Steven works to reach his father in any way he can. Despite his grieving, Dave begins to move in the right direction seeking an answer to the question that has been haunting him since his wife's death...Why? | ![]() |
This is a powerful story of one man's struggle in his life and his journey to find the power of faith through God's love after his wife's death. Dave not only walks away from the church and God but also adds to the frustration of his son Steven as he watches his father's actions. The film displays how we cannot fix others around us when it comes to faith, and that each person can only make decisions for themselves when it comes to their beliefs in God. When someone falls by the wayside, the only thing a person can do is pray and trust that God will help that person through their struggles. It is a moving story about faith, love and the power of prayer along with the knowledge that God has a plan for us even though we don't always understand why things happen the way they do.

The feature-length movie, I AM, offers an insight into the true nature of our God, and fights the damaging stereotypes of His character through a gritty, non-linear drama with a plot weaving around average people violating the Ten Commandments -- one by one. We see that these commandments were not edicts from a jealous God, but a love letter to humanity -- a warning to those who don't understand the massive consequences of even the smallest sins upon ourselves and the world around us. In the City of Angels, despair and heartache are the daily mail -- delivered with painful regularity whether we want them or not. |
In a world where so many seem to have so much, no one is immune -- everyone struggles with something. Through the movie, I AM, we join an eclectic cast as they try to untangle themselves from the web of sin. All along the way, they are each joined by a mysterious companion -- ever present with a loving guidance without judgement for their actions. The more they attempt to fix their lives, the deeper they sink into chaos, pain, and loss. In addition, we discover that sin is a matrix connecting even the most remote of strangers to one another. No man is an island. One sin penetrates society like a single stone thrown into a pond. The ripple of sin grows as they affect more and more people, until it swells as a giant wave engulfing an entire city. It is at this breaking point when we see the presence of this companion was no accident. He was the ever-loving constant who refused to abandon His people -- even when they abandoned Him.
Experience the event. Experience the moment. Experience the movie, I Am.

What would you do "To Save A Life"? This film offers a reality check to Christians and non-Christians alike who may be walking through life ignoring the dramatic issues that face our teens today. Teen drinking and drug use are at all time highs in our society as are other social problems such as self mutilation, teen suicide and underage pregnancy. The filmmakers here offer a pragmatic look at the state of our youth and their problems. At times the situations in this movie are addressed in such a convincing way that the viewer may become uncomfortable as they see a friend or family member's real life situations unfold before their eyes. The question is what would Jesus do and what will you do when faced with such stark circumstances?

We embrace the 12-step program of recovery, recognizing and uplifting the underlying Biblical principles they manifest. The only requirements for participation are a desire for freedom from our dependent behaviors and an open heart to the message of wholeness made available through a relationship with Jesus Christ. |
