The WHFC church family will unite with you in prayer and support if you would like to dedicate your child to the Lord. We will be holding special child dedication services on May 10th and May 11th (Mother's Day). The Youth Dinner Theater raised over $2700 on April 12th. The teens, their parents, and the entire youth leadership team express their deep appreciation to everyone who attended and/or participated. They are also grateful to those who took a mini M&M container and returned it (or plan to return it) filled with coins. Every little bit is a help! WHFC provides some great opportunities for the teens of the church to go on retreats and serve on the mission field. Unfortunately, especially for those parents with multiple teens or struggling financially, sometimes the cost prevents teens from participating. To help open the door for all the teens of the church to participate, the teens hold a number of fund raising events with the monies used to help offset the cost of these opportunities. |
Upcoming teen fund raising events include RENT-A-TEEN which begins Saturday, April 26 and the annual Youth Car Wash fund raising event on May 17. If you would be interested in having a teen assist you with house or yard work, pick up a detailed RENT-A-TEEN flyer at the Information Counter.

The Grieving Shawl Ministry is an extension of the Mercy Ministry and seeks to comfort those in need. You can be a part of this ministry by creating a shawl for someone grieving. The shawls can be knit, crocheted, woven, sewn, quilted or machine knitted. As the shawls are created, prayers are offered up for the future recipient. For more details about how you can be part of this outreach ministry, click here: Grieving Shawl Ministry |
The Cinema of Faith Ministry provides fellowship and outreach opportunities using the entertainment medium of film to illustrate the love of Jesus and strengthen ones walk with Christ. Each film shown contains elements that inspire, motivate, or challenge ones thinking to be more Christ-like, and to frame the Christian message in a way that is relevant to all people. For more details about upcoming films that will be shown, click here: Cinema of Faith Ministry |

If it just a hot cup of coffee before church... or a light meal before the Wednesday evening classes... or a snack during the Upward Basketball game... or maybe meeting a friend on Thursdays for lunch, then the Friendly Groups Café is the place you want to be!
Did you know the Friendly Groups Café has Wi-Fi support? Any Wi-Fi enabled device such as a PC, cell phone, MP3 player or PDA can connect to the Internet when used in the Friendly Groups Café.
WHFC and CCA can profit from your unwanted paper! In a joint effort with Cornerstone Christian Academy, we are making a concerted effort to recycle paper. This benefits the environment but also financially benefits WHFC and CCA both in the profit we realize from the paper recycled but also in the reduction in the amount we will pay to have garbage hauled away. This could be substantial!

How can you help? You can ensure that the paper discarded at church is put in one of the containers slated to go to the paper recycling dumpster. Additionally, you can bring paper from home and put it in the dumpster! The new dumpster is on the north exit drive of the church. You can drive around the building and put in your paper from home on your way out of the parking lot. No cardboard or phone books in the dumpster but please consider contributing any other paper (newspapers, magazines, catalogs and office paper) you discard! |
WHFC will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary in October of this year! Do you have pictures or memorabilia of past events/activities of our church? We would like to include a historical overview of the church in the commemorative church directory and need your help! E-mail pics to info@whfriends.org. Indicate the name and date of the event. Other photos/memorabilia can be dropped off at the church office for Elaine Stoltzfus. If pictures are clearly marked with your name, we will try our best to return them.
