Power of 1 Ministries, (formally Single Friends Ministries) wants to be known as the most active and fun singles organization, church or non-church based, in northeast Ohio. We do this by offering all singles, relevant care, helpful service, fun activities, but mostly by modeling the love of our Savior Jesus. If you are single and looking for a place to have a good time and make friends of other singles in a safe, positive environment please join us. |

Offered 6 times during the year in 8 week sessions, Power of 1-Friday offers a fun, safe place for singles to gather weekly and learn something about themselves, others, God and the interaction of all three. Whether through a video series or discussion your week will revolve aroud your anticipation of Friday evenings. concerns, lifestyle issues and needs of single adults on an ongoing basis. There is no charge for Power of 1 Friday. At this time no child care is available. Feel free to join us at any point in time; walk-ins are welcome, but registration is requested. Each session of Power of 1 Friday is different so join us for a variety of discussion topics, video series and more! |

Beginning March 7 at 8 pm Power of 1 will present Safe People. Some people are good for us, some are not. Safe people are people who help drive emotional healing and character growth. In the video series by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend you will learn to recognize the people who will help you down the path to healing and avoid those who may damage your emotional health.

No one wants to go through a divorce or suffer the breakup of a long term relationship. But unfortunately it happens. If you or someone you know finds themself dealing with a broken marriage or non-marriage relationship, Power of 1 offers Divorce/Relationship Recovery. These 8 week sessions offered 3 time a year beginning in March, July and November are designed to provide people with hope, healing and new direction in life. And, at the same time, offer a place to go where they can relax and meet others who share their concerns and struggles. All members of the leadership team and workers have been divorced, attended D.R.R. and have successfully built or are in the process of building new lives based on the principles offered. Recreational ActivitiesPower of 1 Ministry periodically offers recreational activities just for singles. If you have an idea you would like to suggest please contact Pastor Walt Scheiman. Did you know the WHFC building has an exercise room that has different times set aside for attendees to use? For more information, on how to gain access to this room call the church office.

You name it and we’ve probably done it! We plan a wide variety of recreational and social events to provide wholesome opportunities for single adults to fellowship and interact. These include sports, picnics, dinners out, volleyball, bowling, holiday activities, retreats and more! Togetherness, good fellowship, great friends, and funtimes happen every time we get together. We host special events such as: Holiday Activities, Mystery Dinner Theater, Singles Conference, Friendship Banquet, Seminars, and Concerts. Power of 1 - SundayIf you desire a closer relationship with our Lord, a deeper understanding of His Word and how it applies to your life as a single, then join us at an Adult Education Class just for singles and single parents. Classes change quarterly and are offered on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Friday nights. A complete listing of Singles Classes can be found in the Adult Christian Education brochure. |
