What type of church is Willoughby Hills Friends?
We are an evangelical church with ties to the historic Friends' movement. Though we're proud of our Friends' heritage, we're not much into labels. We are, at our core, a group of people seeking to follow the teachings of Jesus and the Bible. In short: a New Testament church. If you'd like more information about our beliefs, visit here.
When should I visit?
Anytime is a great time to visit!! And the sooner the better as far as we're concerned... we're here waiting on you! We offer three excellent options: Saturdays at 5:00pm and Sundays at 9:30 or 11:00am.
Where are you located?
We're located on Cleveland's east side in Willoughby Hills. We are easy to find and have great interstate access, less than a mile from the intersection of I-271 and 91 (SOM Center Road). For more details visit here.
What should I wear?
Really, anything you like. Suits and ties are rare, jeans and shorts are abundant. We suggest something comfortable... because that's what we'll be wearing.
Do you have any tips for first-timers?
Sure! On Sundays we have a friendly and efficient parking team. They'll quickly get you to the closest space. Once inside you'll find lots of smiling faces and helpful signage. Follow the signs (or your nose) to our Cafe for coffee and snacks. If you need help finding your way to the coffee or restroom, ask one of the smiling faces with a badge for help. So our suggestion is to come a few minutes early and enjoy the atmosphere.

What are the Services like?
It's hard to explain since there are so few churches out there like us... but we're going to try anyway. Imagine finding a church that is enjoyable, one that you look forward to all week. We use many different techniques to communicate the message God has given us. You're likely to find us using music, drama, video, staging, props, and other creative techniques in every Service.
How long are the Services?
We know that you have a lot going on in life and sitting through a long, boring, drawn-out church Service is the last thing you want to do with your weekend. Us too. We go to great effort to be interesting and relevant. If it's less than a perfect fit, we'll delete it from the Service before you ever see it. But to answer your question: 60-70 minutes.
